About Us

Our History

The Korean Language Education Scholarship Foundation (미주한국어교육장학재단) was established on April 10, 2019, by eight former presidents of the Korean Schools Association of the U.S.A. Recognizing the lack of resources dedicated to Korean language education, they united to create a scholarship program that celebrates excellence and preserves cultural heritage.

Since its inception, the foundation has awarded over $30,000 in scholarships to outstanding students and teachers across the U.S. Key milestones include:

  • 2022 Awards: 3 teachers and 15 students received scholarships.

  • 2023 Awards: 2 teachers and 20 students received scholarships.

  • 2024 Awards: 2 teachers and 20 students received scholarships.

Our Impact

  • Supported over 75 students and teachers since 2019.

  • Published essay collections to amplify the voices of the next generation.

Our Vision

"Korean Language Education for a Global Generation."
We envision a future where Korean-Americans remain deeply connected to their heritage while making meaningful contributions to a global society.
